Clean Mattress

Did you know that our foam mattress needs to be cleaned at least twice a month? This is to prevent our mattresses to develop insects that may harm our bodies as we sleep on it. One of the best way to clean our mattress can done using reliable kitchen cleaning materials. All you need is some baking soda, table spoon of fabric conditioner, mix them together and sprinkle them on and vacuum. You’re mattress is now clean and fresh.

Home Idea

One of my neighbor here had their front yard assembled like a patio and put some Bermuda grass and a twig swing with patio cushions. I just noticed that they left hem soaking in the rain, tsk..tsk. I think setting a yard like them is not a good idea. Our place is prone to rain because were situated in a mountainous area, so ideally our front yards should be covered, that was what the architect told us and now I know he’s right. With these continuous rains an extended area to dry your clothes outside is best.

Stocking Space

I was the one who thought about the interior of our new home and we hired carpenters to execute the design, sadly I was frustrated with the outcome of the cabinets. They are not what I imagined it to be. I don’t know, maybe they rushed on doing the job or perhaps they only have little knowledge on cabinetmaking on that really have the skill or mastery thus the result. I’m thinking now of ordering ready to assemble kitchen cabinets to stop my frustrations. I need more stocking space anyway so perhaps these might do well.

Cozy Fireplace

Having a fireplace is a necessity in the homes of almost all western families especially those living in places where there’s winter and snow. And this is the time of the year when fire places are being cleaned and spruce up for the cold season. There are those who even installed new mantels to make it more attractive (I saw these nice mantels at MantelStore.com which will look perfect this Christmas!). We don’t need a fireplace in the country where I live but I was able to stay in a hotel where there’s a fireplaces. I wonder what it feels like to be in front of it and actually experiencing the warm it gives when it’s lit on winter days.

Space Saver

It’s almost been a year and yet I still haven’t bought a new computer cabinet to replace our worn out one. I was thinking if I will just ask a friend to make me a customized one or buy those ready-made cabinets being sold in department stores. But I really wanted to have something like this in the house because this can save so much space knowing how small my room is. You just have to open the cabinet when you are working and close it when you’re done, a space saver indeed!
