Sewing, Maybe

I’ve been pinning pics on sewing and home crafts lately on Pinterest. I’ve been inspire to try sewing little things like my kids dresses, simple bags and others. Sewing seems too easy! I want to own a portable sewing machine to start this new found passion. I’ve seen burlap tote bags at this site and it seems so easy to do which might become a source of additional income soon.

Book Lover

My brother loves books and he had a number of collections of his favorite writers. Once he heard of someone selling books that are pre-loved online he wouldn’t waste the opportunity because that’s only the time when he’s able to buy his favorite books without ripping his pocket. E-books are good specially if you are an on-the-go person but for him, he still wants tangible books since he loves the smell of every pages.

A Different Ring

What are retaining rings? Are they meant the different kinds of rings like the engagement and wedding rings that are worn by lovers and couples to keep them in a binding covenant to stay together? Well, the answer is definitely a NO although there is a similar purpose in using them. While engagement rings and wedding rings are used to bind the couple in a covenant of union, the retaining rings are used to fasten and hold together the components or assemblies onto a shaft or in a housing/bore when installed in a groove. I see some of these rings being used in automotive shops for the automobile spare parts and assemblies.

There are different types of retaining rings depending on the specific assembly or components where they are used. There are axially assembled retaining rings, inverted retaining rings, beveled retaining rings, radially assembled, self-locking, constant section and spiral retaining rings.

Photo Session

We had our Young Adults fellowship last Saturday and one of our members brought his Sony Digital camera with Caméscopes. I also brought my DSLR with me. Ever since we started this group we had photo sessions during the meeting. It was started by one of our members who had been so good in photography but when he left we thought of continuing the tradition. We wanted every moment captured and when we’re done we would upload the pictures in face book and would have fun commenting at them. Our young adults team fellowship is one of my favorite group activities every month.

Collecting

I have collected soft copies of my now fave TV show, Glee. I’m now starting to collect the second season. I’m thankful that some of friends are sharing me their copies after each episodes, lol! I’m truly a Gleek! Anyways, I believe there already copies of the first season on blu ray discs. I might get one too, just to collect and in case I lost my soft copies I still have hard copies left.

Yummy!

I'm cooking garlic chicken for dinner tonight. I actually don't know exactly how to do it but based on what I've tasted, I think I can do it. I'm not bragging but I can tell the ingredients of a food when I tasted it. And I can also tell how it was cooked. Hehe, I always trust my taste buds. I'm thankful I know how to cook.

UPDATE:

I was able to cooked it..Yey!!! it was the same as the one I've tasted yesterday from my friend's food delivery. I'm so happy!

Coke Olympic Contour Glasses (addict :D)

I want to collect all five of this this week. A Luminarc glass for P20 for every value meal....hmmm, not bad, right?

So, yesterday I bought three value meals from Mcdo just to get three. But the crew gave me two glasses of the same design. So that means I need to get the three remaining designs.

I decided to take my lunch today at a nearby McDo restaurant hoping to get another glass..but alas....They're OUT of STOCK!

Kainis!! Sayang ang value meal..hmpf!

That means, three more meals from Mcdo for the rest of the week...kakaumay...sigh....

I'll see if I can get one again at McDo Sumulong tomorrow.

Memory Card

I was trying to get a mobile bible again. My phone already has a bible before but I delete it coz I need more space for images and videos (of Jaden). And I thought then I can replace it anyway anytime. I decided to buy memory card, a 1GB memory card for my phone just for that application. But the problem now is that my phone rejects the application whenever I install it and I don’t understand why. I’m planning to visit Nokia center this week to get some help. I found out also that when I replaced my old memory card, my phone rejects any application I install. That’s bad :(

Book lover

My sister loves books. Especially novels like Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings. She also loves book turned TV series and vice versa. I remember when I was in college, there’s a TV series she loved watching. She said that if it will be published, she will get a copy. And she did. She got the 7th Heaven book as her companion to the TV series. I wish I’m also a reader like her. I read books but I’m a bit choosy, not like her who really has that kind of passion.

Home decors

Our New Player

Hubby sent us a new mini hi-fi component. It was brought here by his friend. I received it yesterday. It was so in time since our old one had already broken down, that’s why our little girl hasn’t seen Barney for months now.

After I finished setting it up, I let her watch Barney DVDs. She was so happy to see the purple dinosaur again, hehehe. I turned off the dvd subtitle coz it kind of disturb her. She really loves these videos but I only allow her to watch them for a certain period of time.

Online Business

My sister is into beads. It was her hobby at first but then she realized that she can make money out of it. She’s hoping to get more buyers so she’s planning to put her bead jewelry business online. She was setting up a website where she can put useful information and images of her products. I told her to get a shopping cart software too so that she can include shopping cart in the site where buyers can easily place their orders. Speaking of shopping cart software, I came across Ashop Commerce.

It’s an online store building software and one of the world’s most easy to use web based administrators. It allows first time merchants such as my sister to build their online store capable of competing with other stores online for a minimal monthly fee. If you can visit their site, you can see that they offer a demo and a free 10-day trial of the software. It’s a good software to invest for online business starters.

a little something

I become really creative when it comes to pictures of my daughter.. though I sometimes got lazy doing digi LOs now..but I do something else when I find time.

..the first picture was taken sa front yard sa house ng parents ko..my daughter was looking up on the parrots and love birds.. she likes them a lot.. Awww..she's getting bigger and taller everyday. And she's more curious now. She would say "ha?" when I talk to her or ask her a question. She can walk fast and run fast na rin...which is good because she's heavier now..di ko na kaya i-carry hehehe! :D

Digiscrap again

Whew! as you know.. I've been busy lately..because of digiscrapping :D.. well, this one so far is, for me, the best of all my work... all the best for my hubby!! (thanks aggie for all the helpful links to all the freebies! ...)

I was in front of my computer...tinkering... netsurfing..and nothing else to do. Bland day. Suddenly I thought of trying to do something in photoshop... well.. I'm practicin' and I think I'm learning...

Let's cook

Being married means having to learn new things including cooking. I really love cooking! one of my fave spot in the house is the kitchen (san pa ba??). And speaking of cooking, I'm not really a very good cook, more on imbento kasi ako eh :D. I do love preparing pasta dishes. My family loves my pasta every Christmas (different kinds of it every year). Di ko pa lang nata-try mag-bake (hmm...next mission ko yun---baking lesson!). But I'm proud to say that my husband loves everything I cooked for him whenever he's home. Let me share to you one of my favorite, and easy to prepare recipe. (kahit nakapikit pwedeng gawin! hehehe!)

Buttered Chicken Adobo

(adobo is not my favorite but I've learned few things on how to make it a little special)

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo chicken (cut into serving size)
1 cup dark soysauce
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tsp. pepper (crushed)
1 tsp. bay leaf
1 glove garlic (minced) -- pero mas marami, mas yummy!
1 tsp. butter
oil for frying

Here's how I do it:

After cleaning the chicken, mix all ingredients except for the cooking oil. make sure that all ingredients are mixed well. Then, marinate the chicken into the mixture for 3-4 hours (or even overnight if you want). Once ready, heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken. But don't over fry. When brown, pour in marinade and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with love.

I've tried this recipe plenty of times na and it's always a hit. Try nyo din :)

Something DIY

I always thought of not using the cord usually included on bridal dress so I tried to find supplier for the beaded cord that I want. I got to know AMVY Designs thru W@W. I really like her works and designs of her accesories. I've already talked to her several times but I can't find time to go to her shop (which is in Caloocan). Then , some w@wies planned to make their own cord too using swarovski crystals. I like the idea too but I thought it's not practical for me to spend 5k bucks just for the cord! So what I did is, I went to divi last March 5 and decided to make my own out of faux pearls and aqua blue beads. And guess what!!! I only spent almost P300 for the materials including the tools. I worked on it the whole afternoon and whoallaah! My very very own wedding cord...!!!

Jerry saw it last Thursday and he commend my effort. (I so love it when he loves what I'm doing for the wedding)
