Week-ends Spent with Them is the Best

This is what weekends is all about..spending it with my precious kids.

Last sunday, despite the heavy rain, we went to SM Mega Mall to have my APE taken at Clinica Manila. Since we went there early in the morning, my kids and I had a lot of time spent in the mall. We had fun. We ate lunch, enjoyed the kiddierides at WOF and just hang out. We also bought their favorite j.co donuts and Chef Tony's white chocolate - parmesan popcorn.

When we got home, we enjoyed watching TV while eating what we took out from our day adventure. Its one of the best weekends.

Summer's Officially Here

Yes, and the kids are all ready for it. Almost everyday, they enjoy swimming in their official summer pool, hehe. It's quite small but surely, they are enjoying. Summer isn't what it is called without them enjoying the cool water of a pool. Hopefully we can visit the beach some time this month so they could enjoy more.

A family event in my little girl's school. One of the times I love..going with her school activity even after work and without getting enough sleep yet..That's what moms are for right?

Audio Books

Nowadays you loving books is even made easy for our kids with the help of audio books. My kids love them. I downloaded an app like this and this made them busy. Whenever I am not feeling well to read books t o them before going to bed, this app saves me. I just hit press is on and the audio books are ready to tell them stories. During the day, I make the kids even more busy by letting them listen to books online free. This is one thing I want to instill to them as they grow, the passion of loving and reading books.

iPad for The Little One?

Kids are really different now. They would prefer receiving gifts like iPad and ipad accessories rather than simple toys, haha! Well, maybe because unlike laptop toys, iPad is more engaging and interactive. Maybe that’s the reason why children as young as five years old ask for it. And some parents are okay about giving this to their kids. I personally won’t deprive my kids with this gadget if it’s going to be helpful to them. We just need t properly guide them in using this expensive “toys”.

Dental Care for Kids

Having a beautiful smile needs beautiful sets of teeth right? I must agree I don’t have the most white and beautiful teeth since when I was young we have not given proper dental care, given the fact that it’s quite expensive that my parents (having 5 kids) did not afford it. But now that I have my own kids I realized the value of having proper dental care for them. I have two kids who already have their baby teeth. I have to say that I failed to take care of my eldest’s teeth so they eroded quickly even before she reached the age of five. I have consulted three children’s dentists already and they told me based on my daughter’s history that the early erosion might be caused my some medicines’ that she took when she was a baby. (She was diagnosed with neonatal seizure before). My little boy on the other hand is starting to have his milk teeth. His incisors have erupted already and so I am more cautious now as to the vitamins that he takes. Some kid’s dentists said that iron can be one of the causes of early corrosion on children’s teeth. I am not sure though if that is true but I’m still taking the precaution. I am now on the hunt for the best dentist for my kids and I am also considering Medicaid Dentists for their dental care. I know that it can be costly and expensive but this is one thing parents should consider for their kids to have confident smiles when they grow up.

Baby Proofing with Baby Gates

During the last four days that our helper was MIA and I stayed at home to fulfill my duty as a doting mom, I have discovered a lot of things from my kids. My four year old girl’s chattiness and daily activities on weekdays, and my fast growing six month old baby boy’s development. Whew! I was really surprised to see milestones in a span of four days. Last Sunday I saw that the little boy can already clap his hands so we enjoyed singing together while clapping. His tiny little chubby hands were sooo cute as he clasped them together.

The following day I found him sitting all by himself then eventually crawled. He went as fast as he can towards my direction. That made me realized that the house is not safe anymore for him. We haven’t baby proofed our house yet since I thought that he might start crawling by the time he reached 7 or 8 months. I was wrong. Now I’m on a rush to baby-proofing the entire house. I dug into our storage room to collect all the rubber mats that the little girl used when she was a tot, gathered and assembled them on the floor. Then I purchased outlet covers and fan covers and started covering all the open outlets and electric fans. Now, I’m on a hunt for affordable baby gates. I’m looking for a local supplier but haven’t found any yet. I saw an extra wide baby gates at kidssafeinc.com at $99.99 but I wonder if they can deliver one to our house. I guess they do but I don’t know how much the cost of shipping would be. I hope a friend in the US will be going home soon so I can have her purchase this for me. :)
My..my..now I’m on a rush! Whew!

Siblings

This was taken yesterday. I love taking pictures of the kids when they are together. I simply love them both! Little boy has was trying to sit on his own here while his sister holds him. Well, she loves him so much that she doesn't want him to fall, hehe! Typical of a loving sister. I just hope that they will both grow up caring and loving each other.
