Jerry's birthday

Last Sunday, we celebrated Jerry's birthday... actually, it was a little surprise for him. :D

This is his first birthday with a wife na, so I thought maybe I should at least prepare some dishes for him and his bisita. Kaya lang when I asked him if he wants me to prepare sabi niya wag na lang...

but still, I can't help but do something for him eh.. so I asked my mother's help Saturday afternoon since I know I can't do the preparation on my own. And I want it to be a surprise nga, I don't want him to have an idea that I'm preparing. So the cooking and all the preparation will be handled by my mother sa house nila. She will just deliver the food Sunday afternoon sa house namin.

After our church service, I just acted casually and I didn't gave him any idea of what's happening sa house namin. He asked what should we buy for lunch.. I told him dumaan kami sa market to buy something. (Actually this is an alibi.. my sister texted me kasi na hindi pa raw ready eh, malapit na kami sa house). What's funny is that we saw my father along the way na may dalang pancit sa bilao papunta sa bahay nila.. sabi ng husband ko "buti pa sila may pancit".... sabi ko naman..."oo nga noh, buti pa sila..." He was really surprised pagbukas niya ng pinto..

After that, we went to megamall and bought him a pair of shoes... my gift.

I know I made him happy kahit simple lang ang preparation and gift ko.

the celebrant, sweating and all, after kumain :D
us with my father na pa-cute :D

A valentine gift

Valentine's day is approaching... as of this time, I can't think of a way to surprise my husband and make our first valentine's day as couple romantic, happy and memorable...

Although, I'm planning to give this to him (framed) so he could hang in his room in baler, I'm still thinking of yet another.

First Monthsarry and A love Story

Time really flew fast. The glitter and stardust of our wedding was over but the love and the bond between Jerry and I remain. We're not even aware that a month has already past. Geeez!

Three years and 3 months ago, we just passed each other by, not knowing that the Lord has something to do with us.

taken 3 years ago...

Let me start with our story....

My love life was a mess when Jerry came into my life. I was spiritually low, but pretending to be strong and okay. I was involved in an unhealthy relationship for 6 years with a man. I was blinded. Later did I realize I have wasted six years of my life committing to a man unworthy of the love I can give. I know that God does not want me to be complacent of my situation that time. He has a high standard when it comes to his child's would-be-partner in life. So I believe that somehow, I can be free and regained my self worth. Somewhere, sometime, I could find the right man for me who will truly value and love me.

It was 2002 when Jerry came. He was introduced to us by our senior pastor. I barely know him. All I know is that he's from Zamboanga and he will be our youth pastor. We then became friends. Unknowingly, he has started liking me and giving me special attention every time we meet at the church. He knew all about my notorious relationship with my boyfriend. He constantly gives me advice as a pastor. He was the one, who opened my eyes and showed me that I still have choices, that I should never settle for less when God intends me to get His highest plan for me. He taught me to make radical decisions.

I started admiring him for that. And I started making steps to what I deem is necessary. I broke up with my boy friend (not because I already love someone else but because I know that was the right thing to do). He wouldn't let me but I was adamant. He started threatening me and spreaded lies about me even to people close to us. Because of that I was hated.

Jerry came to rescue me. He was there for me all throughout that stage of my life. But I was so stubborn. There was a time that I felt I'm missing my ex. Though we already broke up, I have constant communication with him because he wanted me to come back and I gave in. I know how I've hurt Jerry's feelings so much. So I stood up and decided I'm not going to commit the same mistake again. I'll let go of him and move on with my new life. And I'm glad he still accepted me.

I know I have made the right decision for I never felt so loved the way Jerry love me. He's one of the greatest gifts God had given me. I then knew that he has dreamt of me even before we meet. He said God told him in his dream that I'm the one He has destined for him. Sounds corny? Yeah... well, God also confirmed to me that he's the one for me. Well, I'm glad that we found each other in the right place at the right time. Now, we're in love and we're happily married.

Yes, our relationship is not perfect. We had our own flaws and imperfections. But we believe that as we put God in the center of our relationship our bond will last. No love can survive through the years without some scratches and dents. There will be those inevitable conflicts that will cause our relationship to shake, rattle, and roll. But we believe that we can work effectively to steady the ship that we're in, our love will go stronger, more vibrant and mature. The quality and the depth of our love make all the difference in the world. True, we are not the same today as we were three years ago, and neither is our love relationship. We constantly evolve as we mature and our circumstances change. But our love is deepening and we trust God for a wonderful lifetime together.

We're married for a month now and we're counting. We're committed to be married for a lifetime.....For better or for worse, 'till death do us part. AMEN!

Dishearten

Have you experienced something like you're in the middle of your work and all at once your eyes seems to get wet with tears? Well, I just did a few moments ago.... I was thinking, is it really normal for couples to argue on even tiny little things pag malapit na ang Big day???

I'm hurting and I just want to vent...and this is where i thought I can do this (this is my blog anyway...) .

Lately, Jerry and I seems to argue on alot of things. There were issues that needs to be resolved and it's hard when you're far from each other. It's hard to say everything thru text messages...I hate it. I don't want to stressed my fingers pressing those keys, composing long messages, waiting for responses...

It's just hard... I'm thinking. Am I being super sensitive? Am I the one with the problem? Is this normal?

Hey me. Come to think of it....it's 24 days before the wedding. And you're entartaining these thoughts.

Yes... 24 days before the wedding and alot of things really bothers me. Enough...

WE BADLY NEED TO TALK.

Blessed

Since the engagement, several thoughts flood my mind, specially during these times that I'm far from Jerry. ..

I believe that every woman wishes to be wed with the man of their dreams--I'm one of them. Jerry's not the ideal tall-dark-and-handome-type of a guy, but he came into my life just in time.

I feel so blessed to have Jerry in my life. At the very starat that I decided to commit my self to him, I know that I'm entrusting myself to a person of character--i'm quite assured that I will be taken care of and I will be in good hands. I have experienced so much pain from the past where I thought I'll have to live with. I never thought that I can escape. that there would be someone who'll rescue me.. But he came. He's been there for me. He's not a person who would always show his sweetness by giving material things, gifts and expensive stuffs but I can feel how much he loves me and how much he cares about me for just the way he is.

Well, our love story is really too much of a "telenovela"... (full of drama) but we've made it this far against all odds. And now that we're going there...soon to be tying the knot, I can't explain the feeling. I know that being a pastor's wife is not going to be easy. There will be so many responsibilities.. that sometimes , I would ask my self whether I can play that big role. But I will do my best. As much as possible I want to become the best wife, friend and partner Jerry would ever had.

Our new life together is fast approaching. I know that married life is not easy but I believe, as long as God is in the center of our relationship, I know we're going to make it .. God will be glorified in our relationship, and we'll be a blessing to the people.

The preparation I'm doing gets me excited. Aside from the thought of preparing a one-of-a-kind occasion, the feeling of being with him forever, I also want people to know, through us, how good God is and how He's faithfully fulfilling His will and plan for the two of us.

What It's Like to Love You

Jerry.....

To love you is to daydream of you often, think of you so much, speak of you proudly, and miss you terribly when we are apart.
To love you is to cherish the warmth of your arms, the sweetness of your kiss, the friendliness of your smile, the loving sound in your voice, and the happiness we share.
To love you is to never forget the adversity we have overcome, the tears we have shed, the plans we have made, the problems we have solved, and the pain of separation.
To love you is to remember joyfully the days we made memorable, the moments that will live forever in our hearts, the dreams we hope for, the feelings we have for each other, the caresses and touches of love, and the exhilaration of love that fills our hearts.
To love you is to need you, want you, hold you, and know you as no one else can.
To love you is to realize that life without you would be no life at all....

That's a little of what it's like to be in love with you!
