Visual DNA

My Visual DNA Explained...

Moods: Easy-Rider

A bit of romantic and have a taste for the exotic. You love feeling the sea breeze in your hair , sun on your skin...slip those shoes off... You like to kick-back. When it comes to art, you're definitely unconventional. You like to think differently, always from another perspective. You have a good sense of humour. As for music, it's the soundtrack to your world. You like to unwind and switch off: it gives you a break from reality. Your choice of treat shows that you really care about your appearance, if you feel good on the outside, you'll feel good on the inside right?

Fun: Escape-Artist

You love to be far away from your everyday life. You love the sun and like to live life at a slower pace than most - you know how to take things nice and easy! For kicks, you like to indulge in your great passions. You are probably happy spending time alone, and your drive and curiosity will take you all over the world. When it comes to holidays, relaxing and spending time with friends and family is what it is all about. You like long lazy sunny days - coming back home rejuvinated. What grosses you out? Nobody is perfect but some bad habits aren't acceptable; you realize that health is wealth.

Habit: New Wave Puritan

Living in a material world, you are always flashing the plastic. You like to live for today and not get caught up thinking about tomorrow. Your choice of drink shows that on the whole you care about your health and make sure you're putting the right stuff in. As for the home, you like to stamp your signature style where you can. You like your sorroundings to lift your mood.

Love: Love Bug

For you, love is about long term commitment, it means devotion and tenderness. When you think of freedom - you think of technology providing you with the links to communicate wherever you are. Opening more doors.

Somethings are really me..some, well..not really. :D

Daddy's Girl

You're daddy's girl
You're daddy's girl
The sunshine of your daddy's world
I thank God everyday
That He brought you our way
And in his heart, you'll always stay
Daddy's Girl

God has so many things
Specially for you
And daddy's prayers are always there
To see you safely through

You're daddy's girl
You're daddy's girl
The sunshine of your daddy's world
I thank God everyday
That He brought you our way
And in his heart, you'll always stay
Daddy's Girl

You're daddy's girl....

Chicken

Finger lickin'good! :D

My daughter loves to eat. And she always wants to eat by herself. She don't want being spoon fed, so whenever we eat, we gave her her own set of plate, spoon and fork (though she always bangs and taps the plate with the spoon). She wants to hold everything she sees on table.

I love this picture of her. It shows how she really loves gobbling and nibbling her piece of food. Fried chicken! :D

Silence and Musings

A lot’s happening in my life lately which I’m just too silent (or should I say “lazy”) to blog about. I just couldn’t find the right words and can’t come up with a nice post. But I’ll sum it up:

• My baby’s 1st birthday is nearing. I’m not doing any preps? Yeah, we just decided to hold her party at McDonald’s. It will be on June 2. But the family will have a private celebration on May 30. The party we reserved was meant for the kids. I just prepared a tarpaulin for her backdrop and bought some souvenirs for her ninongs and ninangs and our friends who’ll come. The children will be given loot bags courtesy of McDonalds. Here’s one thing I’ve learned about kiddie parties. Don’t we often throw huge parties for our kids in order to impress other parents or at least, to keep up with them? Maybe this doesn’t include you, but let’s admit some parents are. Kids just want to play, a one year old baby don’t care about checking everything off the activity list nor if everything matches and looks just so. I don't want to sound sour-graping here. This is just my thought. I just hope that Jaden will still enjoy her 1st birthday party even if her dad will not be present.

• Speaking of Jerry. He’s booked tentatively on May 25 for KSA. He was hoping to be booked after our baby’s birthday but it seems not possible. He can be booked on the 31st but we're worried that he might go alone since the batch he belongs will be leaving on the 25th. I don’t want him to travel on a foreign land alone.

• I don’t know what will happen to me once Jerry leaves. I have experienced leaving alone when Jerry’s still working in the province. It didn’t feel good. I miss him a lot and always anticipate his coming home every other week. This time, he’ll be gone for two years straight and I’m really praying that I can overcome. As of this time, I'm still calm. I just can't tell how I'll feel when that day comes that he'll board the plane. I'll surely miss him terribly.

• Because of this, I’m thinking about being a full-time mom and just put up my own business. I just need to conceptualize a good business plan that will maximize my talents and creativity. I don’t want to be an eight-to-five slave any longer. I also don’t want to miss Jaden’s growing up years. I just realized what I missed about my baby. I know that I need to take care and supervise her now...be a mom and a dad at the same time.

Well, just thinking things out.

Pray

It's not too early to start as they say. That's why as early as today we want to teach Jaden to pray. And she shows willingness to learn.

Last night we teached her to clasp her hands first. Then hubby lead the dinner prayer. Abruptly, she bowed her head with us. And from then on, everytime we told her to "pray" she'll clasp her hands, bow, and smile.

Good girl indeed!

Review

“Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It's the choices that make us who we are, and we can always choose to do what's right.”

This is an unforgettable phrase I’ve heard from Peter Parker... Yes I’m talking about Spiderman.

My loving husband treats me to a movie last Sunday (Mother’s Day) and we brought Jaden with us. It’s her first movie. It was also hubby’s favorite superhero. But poor hubby. He wasn’t able to watch the climax since Jaden got cranky during that part. We also didn’t get the chance to have a second round since Jaden wants to play around the theater. We just decided to get out as soon as the movie ended and brought her to WOF to get some rides. Hmm….pity pity.

Anyways, I’m not really a movie critic but I do love Spiderman series. And here’s my say about the movie.
The film's most dramatic and compelling conflict consists of Peter's battle to surmount his own pride (it really feels good to be admired, eh?), desire for vengeance, and a bit of foolishness—all accentuated by the presence of the black, sticky, parasitic “symbiote”. It’s entertaining and very much connected with the previous installments. It was well thought of albeit a few slip-ups. There are too many stories to tell yet they’ve only given quite few time, lines or scenes. The appearance of Venom was not that frightening at all (As if just to amused or satisfy the audience’s request). Peter Parker is still the same. He’s not maturing. It's not so easy to believe that Peter could be so careless about Mary Jane’s feelings. Also, there are questions in my mind like when Marko (the real killer of Uncle Ben) runs from the cops, he happens to stumble into a government experiment which turned him into dust. After he crumbles, how does he manage to "pull himself together"? When the symbiote (the sticky black thing) rides a meteorite down to earth, it happens to land within reach of Peter Parker. Where did it come from? Why did it like Peter so much? and why Peter? Why does it look like a spidey-suit when it consumed Parker, but like an oily demon when it took over Brock (the rival photographer)? No explanations what-so-ever. Hmmmm….Something to think about.

Hey, but why nit-pick? This is just the stuff of a fanatical comic-book series. Better to consider what all of this adventure is about. What can we get out of it..Lessons I mean. Like the theme. As I’ve quoted above, the script is quite good and some phrases are remarkable (as always!). Life lessons I've picked up: the danger of vengeance, the power of forgiveness, the nature of true love. The strong bind of friendship. The admirable act of sacrifice during the climactic battle is sure to inspire.

Spider-Man 3 really delivers an appealing, hmmm....occasionally thrilling entertainment that manages to combine drama, comedy, and action without losing its balance. And the special effects? Aahhh…You'll get your money's worth, no question.

Mom

"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.

It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.
But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

She did it!

It’s a proud proud day! I could even sing Dora’s (the explorer) song “She did it, she did it, oh wow… she did it!!!” *Beaming *..

My baby finally managed to walk alone in 4 cute (quite flimsy) little steps! I am just so proud and giddy and I can’t explain how I am feeling. I wasn’t able to catch it at still though since it was swift and instant. I encouraged her to try it again and the second time, she did 6 steps! She’s still a little scared though but she enjoyed that moment.

She was just as happy as her mom as I squeezed her and kissed her and hugged her tight.

The giraffe ride

She was just all smiles as she enjoys the ride on a moving giraffe. I thought she would be scared like any other child should be. I never thought that she can already handle this ride. She is really becoming a big girl! She doesn’t even want daddy to hold her as she move around. I just love to see her like this…. It was such a bracing feeling specially whenever she glanced at me…as if telling me that “mom, I’m really having fun here!”.

I'm so proud of you baby!
