Well, today is my niece's first birthday. Her name is ALEXA NICHOLE.

I love her name and I love her. This is a very special day for her, but unfortunately, she's not going to have a grand birthday party like any other 1 year-old did. But still she's special to us and to her parents. Happy birthday Alexa!

Blow-up Babies Photos

Happy Tuesday everyone. Whew, it's been a while. I missed blogging here. I had a very busy weekend thus, the lack of updates. Well, I had so much to write about but I'll do that on the coming days. For now, I'd like to share the pictures from our photo shoot at Blow-up Babies. They are all great I wish to have them all but as much as I want all of them printed, I can't since one 8R print is already P800. Too pricey, haha.

Anyway, we got the print outs form our photo shoot last night. Hubby was the one who picked it up. Since I paid for 3 prints, BuB gave me a free CD copy of our other pictures which I can reprint at 5r or 3r sizes. But what's good was I only paid P1,900 for all the printouts since I used my GC.

Here's our pictures:

I hope we'll be able to have another photo session this year.

Our weekend {May 16-17}

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was wonderful! Last Saturday, we went to Blow-up Babies to have our studio family picture. This was the time I'm waiting for so long. Our last family picture was taken when the little lady was still 10 months old. So I didn't want to let this time pass without having our studio picture taken now that we're complete. See her shirt? It's part of the family shirt that I ordered last month from artsnstyle (These are personalized shirt, I made the design and the have it printed byt artsnstyle). We wore this during the photo shoot. The photographer even wanted a shot highlighting the shirts, she said they are cool so we've got to brag about it through the picture :). I'm excited to get the printout this Saturday.

Well, that's it for now, I'm kinda busy with the meeting that's ongoing and later I need to look for Mesothelioma lawyers. I'll be back later to blog some more and post more pics. Work mode ulit :).

Plans tomorrow...

It's going to be another weekend, I'm happy as always (Well, I am..ever since hubby returned). What's for tomorrow? Here it goes...

- Morning: Visit our dentist to check on hubby's braces
- Buy groceries
- Afternoon: Photo shoot at Blow-Up Babies (wearing our family shirts, hehe!)
- Watch a movie.

I hope my plans pushed through.

Thank God it’s Friday!

Yes, it’s the end of the work week already. I don’t know why but I feel lighthearted every Friday… aside from that today is payday! Yeye! We are planning to have lunch outside to treat ourselves. We rarely eat out for lunch. That’s because we’re scrimping, lol! But if we have extra cash (like today), I think it’s just right to treat ourselves once in a while, right? I wonder where we’ll be having lunch later. I’ll leave that to the person in charge. For now, I’ll be in work mode…currently searching for POS systems. I’ll update you with our lunch out later.

Just Thinking Out Loud

Classes will begin in less than two months and my sister is already thinking about where to get the money for my niece’s tuition fee, school supplies and textbooks. My sister works in a call center and has two kids. Her husband does not have a job yet so she was left with all the expenses. Her youngest daughter will be turning one on the 27th and she doesn’t even have any plan of celebrating it, budget wise. Oh, I wish I can help her…

Thankful Thursday: God is Amazing!

I miss posting for TT. For the past two weeks, I was not able to join but I'm glad that I can join this week. It's already Thursday and I have so much to be thankful for. God is really amazing and do things beyond what our mind can conceived.

- First, I'm thankful that my husband is already home. After two years of being far from us, we are now enjoying his company and my daughter enjoys being with her dad. I'm thankful that the Lord kept him from any danger when he was away. And I'm thankful for giving him His traveling mercy on his trip back home.

- I'm thankful for the joy that we are experiencing now that our family is complete.

- I'm thankful for God's protection to my husband and daughter. Two days ago, they almost got into an accident but the Lord protected them both. Some says they are just "lucky" and the adrenalin rush helped. But for me, it's God's protective hands that saved them.

- And as I've mentioned here, I'm so thankful for God's intervention that led into the reconciliation between us and our former church. It's been six years and I thought the bridge will be broken forever, but God made a way and we are overjoyed. Finally we have peace.

How about you? What are you thankful for this week? Join us here.

Shell-Ferrari

My nephew is collecting gasoline receipts to get a Ferrari car. Not the real one but the toy car that’s being advertised on TV. The promo requires a certain amount of collected receipts in exchange, we can buy the Ferrari toy car for a minimal amount. He has collected the required receipts already and he’s so excited to get his Ferrari. Thank God it’s just a toy, if it’s not, we would be having headache looking for Ferrari parts, you know… boys. lol!

On the 30th...

Another birthday is coming up. The little lady will be turning three on the 30th and to tell you the truth, I haven't had any definite plan yet. The husband wants an out of town vacation. I also want that but we don't know yet where to go. Hopefully, we'll be able to finalize it this week. Aside from the trip, I'm thinking of cooking some food for the kids, buy balloons and of course a cake for the little lady. She wants to blow birthday candles now so I know we need to buy her one. Haayy... she's really growing fast and getting smarter everyday.

(She was holding a cake given by our office to all mommy-employees. She loves cakes so when she saw this she was the first one to have a bite.)

180 less 60=120 days

The 180 days challenge as I mentioned last time has finally taken off. But because of some employee concerns the challenge was shortened to 120 days, roughly 4 months. For now our participating employees are still on a smug. They say they will have their normal eating habit until the day of the weigh-in. After that, they will have to undergo through the strict training, diet and exercise. I hope they won’t have to consider taking the best appetite suppressant. Lots of self-control and discipline are all they need to pass this challenge. All the best for them.

Heads Or Tails

HEADS - “Ball”
*OR*
TAILS - “Rhymes with Ball”

Make any kind of post using either theme. You can even use both!

My take, HEADS..."Ball".

The beginning of a good game.... one fun day with the company's athletes.

He loves the house.

Two weeks ago, we visited the village where we got our house. On our way, hubby was complaining about the road. I understand him because I felt the same during my first visit. But when he saw the house and he loves it and he began to love the community as well. We’re excited to furnish it already. Hubby plans to have a veranda or a patio constructed so we have to look for patio furniture, and a good fence/gate maker. Hopefully, in less than two months will be able to transfer and enjoy our new house.

The Halo-halo Treat.

Since yesterday was mom's day, we treat our selves with refreshing Chowking Halo-halo. :). Me, my two mommy sisters, and of course our mom.

Masaya na kami dun, lol! :D

The Best Gift I Received On Mother's Day.

Yesterday, the whole world celebrated mother’s day. Our day! So what did you do? Did you celebrate it also? As for me, we didn’t have the time to celebrate it like I wanted. We just went to church in the morning, then attended a thanksgiving celebration in the afternoon. We didn’t have time to have special dinner. I didn’t receive any bouquet from hubby but I received a wonderful gift. No, not one of those diamond rings on my wish list or any material gifts you can imagine. What I received is more than that….

After six long years, the once broken bridge between my family and our former church was restored. Why we left is a long story. But I’m glad that God really made the way for reconciliation to happen. And we’re happy, hubby and me…that finally, this burden that we carry in our hearts for so many years was taken away and now we have peace.

What happened? We received an invitation from our former pastor coursed through one of our friends to attend the said event. And that's where we spent the whole afternoon yesterday. And I don't regret attending at all. What God did was more than I expected. God really make all things possible and His timing is really perfect!

Manic Monday #167

How old were you when you learned to tie your shoes?

~As far as I can remember, I was already tying my own shoe when I was 6 years old.

Have you ever snooped in somebody else's medicine cabinet?

~Yes. My friend's when I asked for a paracematol and she gave me permission to get it my self.

Who do you think you are?

~Me? Just the simple mom and wife of my husband and daughter.

I want a vacation.

Since hubby came home we haven't had any weekend getaways. His schedule is always full...meeting friends here and there, visiting relatives, etc, etc. Before he came, I had so many plans but everything didn't push through. I hope before June, will have the chance to spend a special week end anywhere in the north or south. We're planning to visit Mindoro or Baguio next week.. I wish it will push through. I really want a vacation.

LP 56: Simula Pa Lamang

180 Days Challenge

Our company is once again participating in the fitness challenge under our family of companies. But this time, it’s no longer 80 days but a hundred and eighty days! Whoah!

Selected employees will be joining this event that includes not only the obese but also those overweight. They are now preparing themselves, planning what to do including the types of exercises they will take and proper diet. I don’t think they will be looking for the best diet pills because the challenge is to lose weight naturally. I hope my colleagues will be able to passed this challenge and hopefully win some title. All the best for them!

He's Home...

After two long years, he's finally here...and once again our family's complete.

He arrived last Wednesday, the day before his birthday. He has a friend who came in the Philippine ahead of him who offered to fetch him at the airport so we didn't had a problem on fetching him. What bothered me was the thought of my daughter's reaction when she meets her father. I know she'll get aloof or timid and I was right. Nahiya siya sa daddy niya :). But when her dad started kissing and embracing her, she started responding too. She even doesn't want her dad to get out of her sight. When he did (that's when he went to the wash room), she started looking for him with this statement, "san na yung daddy ko?" (where is my dad?)

The following day was his birthday, and just like what he promised the little girl, we went to SM Marikina. One place done, five more places to go. :D

Hubby and the little girl are starting to build relationship, catching up with one another. I hope that the little girl will enjoy her dad's presence and will continue to get closer to him.

You know what? This was the happiest weekend we had this year!
