Slide & Fell

I encountered an accident last night when I was on my way to work. I accidentally slipped, tripped and fell my bottom hit the floor. It was so painful. I thought I would not be able to compose myself and walk. Good thing, I only hurt my hind end and won’t need knee walkers. Haist.…next time, I’ll be extra careful to avoid meeting accidents.

My 1st APE

I had my annual physical examinations last month to comply with our company’s policy. Since it’s quite a big company with thousands of employees, the APE appointments were scheduled by batch and on various clinics. I chose Healthway located at EDSA Shangri-la because it’s accessible for me and the facilities and services is fine. Nurses had their own Howard-Medical.com medical cart to attend to some patients. This minimizes waiting time for us. I spent just an hour to complete my APE because of their prompt service.

Rain, Rain, Please Go Away

Monsoon rains flooded most of the towns today. A lot of people were affected and I felt sad hearing the news about it. I only feel secured now that my family is living a an area that is not prone to flood but before I do get get scared with these kind of rain, continuous and non stopping :(( Hope the rain would stop so that no more families will suffer.

Sweet Surprise

Women love surprises…and I’m one of them. It’s just that I don’t get surprises often. Having a very serious husband with no idea how to do surprises makes some of my special moments boring..hehe. Added to the fact that he’s working abroad and only comes home every two years that’s why we don’t usually celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. I don’t want to insinuate something or to sound complaining but if he’s only the guy who knows how to give surprises, he can try searching ideas over the internet …I love this site http://www.berries.com/gifts-wife-SG9 coz it offers a lot of surprising gifts for women. Here’s hoping that I will be able to receive one when the husband returns.

Digital TV

I seldom watch TV because of my schedule and because I don’t like watching our local shows. We don’t have cable channels because I didn’t apply for cable TV. I fear that my kids would be addicted to watching TV all day if I did that and another things is that we don’t own the house, so I hate it when we apply for a cable TV and then we will be moving out in the future just like what’s going to happen in a few months now. Now, I’m thinking of getting digital box and a box converter set up for our new home. I think that would only be the time that I will be able to get cable channels since we already own the house. I’m looking forward to it.

A Wellness Buddy

A friend wanted to start his own fitness center. He’s a health buff and he is my personal badminton trainer. He also knows a lot about healthy stuff for diet purposes. He’s trying to get licenses from personal trainer certifications agency so he can start his plans right away. I’m so excited about this because once this will push through; I will have someone who can guide me to m y journey to health and wellness.

Complaining Decibels

Setting up our sound system every Sunday is always taking its toll on us. I don’t know why the technicians are not able to set them up perfect since they are doing this for the longest time already. Every Sunday same problems occur for every musical instruments and microphones. Even our drummer who uses an ION electronic drums complains since the sound that coming out from the house speakers are so different. It’s been our problem ever since we move to where we hold our worship service now and I am still hoping something can be done about it.

Something Different

The husband’s birthday is coming up and being able to have it celebrate only after every two years, I’m thinking of looking for some unique gifts for guys to give him. I honestly don’t have any idea not that the husband is choosy but I always find it hard to give gifts for guys and for the husband in particular. Girls are easy to please. Just give them cute stuff and you’re done. But with guys, you have to think deeper. Haist..don’t know what to give…

Post Valentine Gift

The love day is just fast approaching and with all the promos for lovers and couples out there, I believe people are now busy looking for the best gifts and the best ways to spend the day. But as for me, I don’t get overjoyed about it let alone be so excited for the day to come since I don’t have someone to celebrate it with. But I’m thinking of buying hubby a gift. Something like a Baraka chain which I thought will look perfect on him. And since he’s returning home on April, I know I can still save for it. I believe the day is not really important so even if it’s a post valentine gift, I know he will be happy with it.

New Things

I have just recently bought my belle de Jour planner and I love it. It’s very interactive unlike other planners out there. There’s one page of this planner that is allotted for things that you want to do for the year. And I I was thinking of filling this out with all the things I can think of doing. Like purchasing mountain hardwear stuff for a great outdoor adventure, traveling to places I have not been..etc. I’m hoping to see at the end of the year all the new experiences and fun things that I did for the year. We’re approaching the new year and I’m excited to used my planner.

Car Expert

My friend accompany me to a car shop one day because I honestly don’t know anything about car accessories. There are just too many things to know about cars, yay! When we entered the shop he saw some polaris rzr accessories and it caught his attention for a while. While I went straight to KIA accessories. I didn’t want to show him I am that ignorant with car accessories but he knows me. So instead of inspecting those eye candies, he helped me to get the things I need. Good thing he was with me, I could have bought unnecessary things and spends too much. I'm thankful to have a friend who know a lot about cars, I don't have to pay an expert :)

An Event I Wish I Could Attend

My friend is getting married in January, and guess what? It will be a beach wedding which will be held at the famous Boracay beach . I’m so happy for her, and she was super excited. I still remember when she first showed us her engagement ring design. She felt she was floating on cloud 9! Her fiance has provided everything and the preparations are going on smoothly. Even the house that they will live in after the wedding is already being constructed. I could see that her husband to be is a great man and a good provider. Anyway, I wish I could attend her wedding but just the thought about the expenses going to Boracay, I could only sigh…

Swimming in the Cold Season Can Be Fun

My daughter loves swimming on pools and even if it’s rainy season here in our neck of the woods, it’s not a hindrance for her to hop in and swim. But I tell you, she easily gets cold and the nearby resort doesn’t have hot springs or heat pumps to warm the pool water. I hope they can check PoolSupplyUnlimited.com pool heat pumps so that it’s still enjoyable and fun even if it the weather is cold especially when swimming in rainy or Christmas seasons.I also don't like swimming in a cold pool so I am one of those who will truly enjoy swimming in warm water. Heat pump please!

PC Wall Papers and You

They say that the pictures that are posted on your wall papers and computer monitors reflects who you are what or who you cared about. Do you agree? Hmmm… I guess so. When I was single and had my first computer on my first job, my wall papers usually are pictures of serene places, or cute animals, all things girly. But when I started to have my family, my wall papers are most often pictures of my family or my kids even though I only see it when I start or turn off my PC, LOL.

The Perks

I miss the perks and benefits of a private employee. Now that I’m a stay at home mom, I sometimes miss some employee benefits that I don’t enjoy now like health cards, midyear bonuses and even accident or sickness benefits. Being a private employee has it’s perks because the company is getting something from you so when you meet work related injuries the company is responsible for you. Like in Texas, people get the help of Texas Work Injury Attorney if they need so. But being a stay at home mom like me has its perks as well. Like you don’t have to push yourself to wake up so early and battle with the bad weather just to get to office on time, like today! And of course, the special bonding I enjoy with my kids every day.

My Pores

I was browsing my shots from my DSLR camera and it really does show everything. Even my pores can be seen, haha! I realized, I haven’t been taking care of my skin lately. Well, I don’t get pimples and acne so serious that I need to treat it with accutane. I’m one lucky girl who doesn’t get pimple, except when my period comes. My only problem now is my pores. My friend is suggesting diamond peel but as of the moment, I don’t have the budget to splurge on such vanities yet. So until that day comes (when I have the budget) I will just have to be content washing my face with my favorite facial cleanser.

Those Wants

Now that I’m not working in the corporate world, I sometimes miss getting paychecks every 15th and 30th of the month. Sometimes, I feel bad about it especially if I wanted to buy something I really want that’s not in my budget. Now that my husband is the only one earning and I have to wait until the end of the month for his salary, there are times that I wish I have a job that will give me fixed salary so even if it still days before payday, I can buy my wants using payday advances. But reality is, it’s different now. Instead of thinking about buying those wants I shake them off. I wait till my blogging earnings come and see if I can splurge a little bit for myself. If not, then I will just forget about it.

Bracelet

I had a friend whose sister is into bead accessories. He even offered me some of his sister’s products which I found really nice but yes, expensive. He said that the beads are imported that’s why the price is higher than usual beads. I haven’t places an order yet since I’m torn whether I’ll buy one from his sister or from Reeds. Only that, it’s much, much pricey. Oh well, I think I wait till I have the money to splurge on accessories.

A Car and The Courage to Drive It.

This is our new car which we bought from my brother in law. He left to work in the middle east so he decided to sell this to my husband. This is what makes me busy these days. I need to have a refresher course in driving so that I will be able to drive this car while my husband is still in Riyadh. For now, I’m still fixing all the necessary documents for the transfer of ownership because my brother in law was not able to do it before he left. I am also currently reading estatecarinsure.com blog to learn things regarding car insurance and other stuff. I am hoping that I will have all the courage I can get to start driving this by myself by next month.
