Swimming in the Cold Season Can Be Fun

My daughter loves swimming on pools and even if it’s rainy season here in our neck of the woods, it’s not a hindrance for her to hop in and swim. But I tell you, she easily gets cold and the nearby resort doesn’t have hot springs or heat pumps to warm the pool water. I hope they can check PoolSupplyUnlimited.com pool heat pumps so that it’s still enjoyable and fun even if it the weather is cold especially when swimming in rainy or Christmas seasons.I also don't like swimming in a cold pool so I am one of those who will truly enjoy swimming in warm water. Heat pump please!

Fun Family Costumes

Halloween is a time of year when both kids and adults get to dress up as their alter egos. This is a fine time of the year to look forward to, especially with the family. The time leading up to Halloween is filled with excitement since everyone is looking forward to the costumes they will wear. Kids look forward to trick or treating and getting as much candy as possible. So why not make this another event you can take part in with your kids and have a great time?

The first thing that comes to mind is getting the proper costumes. Often families dress up in a theme but adults may want to wear what they feel comfortable in. Either way, getting all the Halloween costumes ready can be an exhausting process, but if you set a theme for the night, it makes it that much easier to get the right costume. If your kids see that the whole family will dress alike, then they seem to be more excited about it. The best way to start planning is to see what your child wants to wear so that you can get them what they want and plan your adult costumes around them.

Costumes are just as important as the fun spirit this time of the year brings around. Ultimately, try to make the best out of the evening and keep things as stress free as possible. With a little planning ahead of time, you can easily have everything ready before the day, which cuts down on last minute running around. If you make this a family experience, both you and your kids will enjoy the day and you will eagerly look forward to the year ahead. Make the evening as easy and fun as possible and everyone will be happy with the outcome. That is the best way to spend your Halloween time.

Balloon Art

I have been meaning to decorate my son's birthday party next year so I'm up for the challenge on learning balloon art and decoration. And last Wednesday during the little girl's field trip, I was able to do my first balloon art:

A poodle that I learned by following instructions from one of our tour guides. Hehe. I realized balloon art is fun and easy. Just twisting a 260 balloon here and there and whoa-la, I was able to put a smile to my daughter's face.

Weekends Will Never Be the Same with PS3 Games

With the advent of seventh generation gaming consoles, Sony caught a head start with its release of the PlayStation 3, along with Microsoft’s Xbox 360, and Nintendo’s Wii, becoming one of the world’s most popular gaming consoles. With over 320 million units of PS3 games sold, it is difficult to not consider the fame and influence of the various games, some of which have become bestselling and remain players’ favorites throughout.

The PS3 ships in with latest accessories, such as the wireless Dual Shock 3 and the Sixaxis movement controllers, the wireless Precision controller, the Driving Force GT controller, BD remote, the PlayStation Eye, digital video recorder and numerous others in the array. The most talked about accessory, with a forthcoming release in late 2010, is the PlayStation Move motion sensor, which is the first of its kind. This accessory will support games which are based on remote player movement. The Move works in close conjunction with the Eye (web cam), to detect player’s movements of the head, trunk, hands and feet, required to perform during the game. The sensors are powerful and detect even the most subtle or minor movement of the player, which is then reflected through the avatar in the PS3 game.

New Move games to hit the PS3 market, along with the release of the accessory, are Echocrome II, Beat Sketcher, EyePet, Kung Fu Rider, Start the Party, Rail Shooter, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, Sports Champions and Time Crisis. Weekends will never be the same once the PS3 Move moves into the house, and chances are that entire schedules will topple. I’m looking forward to throw some kicks at the Triads of Kung Fu Rider in the streets of Hong Kong, check how fast I can dodge missiles in Rail Shooter, tee with Tiger Woods PGA Tour or dance to Start the Party.

Sports Teams Sometimes Act as Surrogate Families

Sometimes it seems that things should be different than you find them. Everyone wants the best for themselves and their loved ones, yet the ‘best’ is not always what people have. In an effort to change this, many people turn to sports betting at sportsbooks to help them cope with their desire to implement change in their lives. The hope is that by calculating odds, following and sifting through statistics, and by applying clever deductions guided by evaluating competitive outcomes, one can beat the odds and make some extra money. Money allows people to feel that they are capable of obtaining the best things in life for themselves, and maybe that’s where the thinking is a little bit off.

You see, being happy, or even content, is not a state of mind which can be bought; it’s not a commodity for sale. One is most satisfied when they do not feel a need for material things. This might sound a bit zen-like, but the basic idea remains – surrounded by friends, family members, and others who care for an individual, that person will feel cared for and loved. That’s why the family institution is such a valuable, if informal, organization. Its reach extends beyond mere physical boundaries, across towns, states, and even the borders of all countries.

Sometimes people don’t have family or relatives who are currently living, and it can be a challenge to find that state of being content that others can derive from family interactions. In their effort to create a surrogate family environment, they often find themselves drawn towards a unifying ideal. That ideal is often found in sports teams, the creation and following of which can give a person a feeling of identity. Whether they’ve lost family members or not, many folks feel a kinship with the sports team of their choosing. Perhaps this is a contemporary version of family.

Couples can use Online Games for Date Night Fun

Put some fun back into your date nights with your husband with online games. You're probably tired of the same old dinner and a movie routine, so why not try a bit of healthy competition to spice things up? With the wide range of games now available online, it's easy to find a game you'll both enjoy.

For the first few weeks, try choosing a new game or two together so that you'll both enjoy playing. After a while you may want to take turns picking your online games, but keep in mind that you want your spouse to enjoy the challenge. If you know shopping is a fate worse than death for your husband, don't select a shopping game or you're likely to end up disappointed on date night!

There are plenty of online games that appeal equally to both sexes. If you're fans of true crime stories, police shows, and paperback thrillers, one of the many mystery or crime games available online will be a pleasure for both of you. You may even learn a bit more about your hubby, like his talent for finding clues in the smallest details of a room. Or you could reveal your natural talent for interrogating witnesses. Discovering something new about your spouse is one of the thrills of online gaming.

There's plenty of fun to be had in games like "Making Mr. Right," an online dating game that requires players to create and train the perfect man. Will your creation be completely different from the Mr. Right your husband cooks up? What does your spouse think makes the perfect man? You may be surprised!

With online games, a bit of friendly competition can be quite an aphrodisiac. Try downloading a few this weekend and see where it leads!

Reminiscing

It’s father’s day on Sunday and I’m feeling a bit sad that the husband’s not here to celebrate it. I really miss my husband. Although we talk through email every day, and go to hear his voice and talk to him during Friday, its still not the same when he’s here. Now I’m just reminiscing the times we spent together as a family before he left. Last April 30, we went to the Mall of Asia to celebrate his birthday. I remember how happy we are during that day. We really had fun. Hubby and little girl enjoyed watching the sunset through the binoculars placed on one side of the mall facing Manila Bay. They also enjoyed riding the Wow Wheels. It was really a fun fun day. We went home at already 11pm, tired but happy. It would be two years of waiting again before we can have another day like that. Sigh…

Player Spotlight: Joe Cada

The WSOP has seen many champions, but none have been quite so surprising as Joe Cada. Cada brought home the 2009 main event championship bracelet, a massive prize pool, and the title of the youngest player ever to do so. No player has had quite so many eyes on him in recent years, but this championship was certainly not the beginning of his journey.

Though he attended college briefly, Cada dropped out to pursue the professional poker circuit. In retrospect, it was probably a wise choice for Cada. He had experience playing online, and online was his major circuit for a long time. He was a ruthless and successful table player. He played on several tables at once and moved his way from the low buy ins to high big blinds. He decided to have a go at live poker more recently, and the first live professional event in which Joe Cada placed was at the 2009 World Series of Poker, where he entered into numerous events with high hopes.

He wasn't able to enter any previous major events due to a simple problem: his age. With 21 being the minimum age for the WSOP events (except in the UK), Cada literally took the first big chance he could get. He did well in many events, finishing in sixty-fourth place in the $2,500 NLH event, more than doubling his buy-in. He would multiply his buy in for the $1,500 NLH event by ten, finishing in seventeenth place. However, it was the main event that made him a legend. After finishing at the top of the chip count for day one, he moved on, gradually progressing toward the final table.

The final table wasn't kind to Cada at first, but in a series of unlikely wins, Cada made his way to ultimate victory, an accomplishment so unlikely that he described it as "destiny."

Marty's

I’m reading a list of alli reviews while munching my favorite Marty’s Cracklin’ Vegetarian Chicharon in salt and vinegar flavor. Isn’t it Ironic? I’m reading reviews about a slimming product while indulging myself to junk food, lol! Well, I love Marty’s since the day I first tasted it. Even though the product claims zero grams transfat and is a “guilt-free “snack, I believe it still contain fats, but who cares? I love it. Hehe! After all I seldom eat junks :D

"Break A Leg!"

We had our third dance rehearsal last night. Kina-career talaga, hehehe. But I love dancing, nakakawala din pala ng stress. By the way, we're doing this for the dance competition as part of our Christmas Party program. Hindi na nga sana ako sasali because I'm part of the committee but the group needs girls. And since 5 girls lang kami sa office, I joined na. We were assigned to dance the hits of 70s..Ang saya :D. Sabi nila, "break a leg" daw..I think I broke my legs already di pa man nag start ang competition, hahaha! sakit ng legs ko eh...Anyway this is just for fun naman so go go go! Another practice later.
