Should You Join the Bandwagon?

Almost everyone wants to own touch screen phones, android and smart phones like I-phone and Samsung galaxy, tablets like I-pad and Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Well, I won’t be surprised since these gadgets are the trend today. I just can’t understand why a person feels that he can’t fit in if he won’t join the bandwagon even at the expense of his meager income. Well, it’s his life and his view of a standard of living, I can only comment, hehe.

Doctor: A Crucial Profession

My sister’s sister in law is taking up medicine as her second course. It’s her in-laws’ dream to have a doctor in the family that’s they are doing everything to fulfill that dream even if tuition fees of doctors are as high as mountains now. The girl wanted to be a pediatrician someday because she is so delighted with kids. And when my sister’s son’s was hospitalized because of a heart ailment, she was there to offer anything she can to help. I hope she can be a good doctor someday. A doctor that will not face any lawsuit because being faced with this kinds of case is really serious for medical professionals. It can be the reason of their licenses being revoked. In the US, doctors are very much cautions with their medical practices to avoid lawsuit. And although some cases of medical malpractices here aren’t as evident as in the US, our doctors still should be careful and practicing their profession because their handle precious lives in their hands. But if they already facing one, they should get the help of an Austin personal injury attorney and O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949, have a plenty.

Time to Give Back

My sister is pregnant to her second baby and as early as now, I’m thinking of what baby gifts I could give her. She’s been so good to me when I was pregnant with my little boy so I want to give the generosity back. She’s also relying on me once she’s schedule to give birth to drive her to the hospital since I have the car. I only hope that I could have mustered all the courage and skills I need before that time comes so I can drive her safely to the hospital. Anyway, she’s due on July so I still have a lot of time to think about the gifts and practice my driving skills.

Should we buy a Bike?

My husband and I have been thinking about buying a motorcycle. It looks like fun, and it would give us something to do together when the grandparents take the kids for the weekend. I can just see it now! We'll put on our helmets, and take off for the day. It won't take hardly any gas as we travel around the countryside and see it all. I can already feel the wind in my face, and the feel of the bike as I hold on while we take the curves.

We just have to figure out which one we can afford. I was looking at the motorcycle insurance policies, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable they were. Because the motorcycle isn't very likely to cause much damage to another vehicle, the liability part was really cheap. I'm not sure why the comprehensive part was cheap, too. Of course, a new bike is pretty expensive. Maybe we'll look at the used ones instead.

It's also a great excuse to go shopping. In addition to helmets, we'll need jackets and other protective clothing. I'll even get to go shoe shopping for new motorcycle boots. Just picture it! We'll be all decked out in black leather on the back of that bike. There's no way I want to end up with road rash if we drop the bike. You know what they say about new riders; it's not a matter of if you drop the bike, but when. I'm not looking forward to it, but they say it is bound to happen.

Next time you see us, we might just be on the back of our new bike. There won't be any need to be jealous. If it looks like fun, you can always go out and get your own bike. We'd love to have someone else to ride with!

Not Again

My friend who already underwent ten operations since she was 10 years old underwent a colonoscopy last month. It started because during her monthly physical examination, the test result showed blood on her stool. She was so worried and she really cried to me because she was scared for a possible serious problem. But after her colonoscopy, the doctor only told her that she had ulcer and she also need to take care of her colon to avoid future problems. She’s now taking some colon cleanser. I really feel for her because she went through a lot already and she’s really praying hard that she won’t underwent another operation, not again.

Why Men, Why?

I can’t believe men now are getting vainer than women. I was surprised to watch the story featured in the news one time. There are products that are being used by women before and are now releasing versions for men. There are diet pills for women and there also a different kind of diet pills for men. When the news about putting the ROTC back in college subjects, male students are the one who first reacted negatively. Men nowadays are also carrying vanity kits! Oh, my! Whatever happened to them? I’m getting scared. I hope I will be able to raise my son with a different attitude. Hayz!

What To Do On The Long Weekend?

It’s going to be a long weekend next week. It would be great if I’ve reserved Branson vacations for me and the kids. IT would be so much fun bonding with them in a relaxing place. But since I haven’t booked any vacation getaway, maybe we’ll just stay at home and cuddle each other. The weather lately is not good for the kids so staying at home is more appropriate.

Why Not?

Honestly, I have never actually seen gold coins or people who buy gold bullion in my life. I see gold in a form of jewelries like rings, necklace, and bracelets but not in coins or bullion. However the form maybe, this is the unchanging fact about gold: we all want to have it. People crave for it and it has even become the world’s yardstick if a nation is wealthy or not – by their gold reserves. I learned that a country cannot produce monetary bills and coins that exceed their gold reserve. If that is true, then our country should invest in buying more gold and invest them for we know that their value is always rising up. In that way our money’s purchasing power will also increase.

In My Dreams

Don’t you just wish you had a Ferrari? I don’t lol! And so are the people hubby met in Riyadh. He said that cars are just common to them, even if it’s a Benz, BMW or Ferrari. Ferrari parts are even cheaper. He once said that if transferring a car from Riyadh to Manila is just easy he could one for us, hehe. But since it’s not, we need to be content with what we have and pray that someday, we’ll have our very own luxury car. For now, I’ll keep on dreaming.

Hard Headed

My father is already sixty but still driving motorcycle. We all know that motorcycles are prone to accidents and he had his share of minor ones. We have warned him a lot of times already to stop driving it but he can’t be stopped. He’s one hard-headed parent, lol! So we just tell him every time that he plans to use it to slow down and take serious care when driving. My sister also gave him protective clothing. When parents grow old, they become more and more stubborn, don’t you think?

Ouch.

I had a very uncomfortable position this morning inside the van that carried us to work. It’s a Nissan Urvan that should be a 13-seater only but the shuttle service operators maximized it and made it into a 16-seater. So if the passenger is big (and not reading pronexin reviews to help him reduce weight), those who will seat beside him will be uncomfortable. Just like what I felt this morning, whew! Anyway, it’s good that I’m petite. I can easily squeeze my self in, though it's really uncomfortable. I hope these operators should not only think of their income but also the comfort of their passengers. Hay!

Alone Again

The husband finally left. that afternoon after sending him off, we went home feeling lonely. the silence and loneliness is really hard to bear. My little girl saw me crying and she said, "Mommy, umiiyak ka ba?Please don't cry mommy, kasi kasama naman natin si Jesus eh, di ba sabi ni daddy?"
Yes, I do beleive what she said. But I can't help but cry. When reality bites, it's really hard to accept. The day before he left, I still feel okay. But when the day finally came, I feel like wishing that time would just stop. If he cannot negotiate with his boss for a vacation after a year, it will be another two years of waiting. *Sniff...sniff*

But God really gives his answer to our prayers always on time. His timing is perfect. If hubby left before I gave birth, it would be very difficult for me and on his part, he would not be able to see our baby and he would not be able to take care of him hands-on. God also gave us a new helper before hubby left. Perfect timing. So I really thank God.

The life of an OFW and an OFW wife is really hard. But I know .kaya namin to with God's help, and guidance. The Lord will see us through

Anyways, here's some pics when we send the hubby off....

Caught By Surprised

We received news this morning from hubby's agency. They told him that he's tentative flight for Riyadh is on June 5. Yes, he's leaving soon...huhuhu! We are surprised but still thankful that still we are informed a few days ahead. Hubby's been waiting for this call for months already so he's happy. Although on the side he's sad. Sad, that he's leaving us again. If he won't be allowed to go on vacation after a year, it would be another two straight years..*sigh* Another two years of sacrifice....

But looking on the bright side. It's just right since the kids are going. This sacrifice is for their future. This is the thought that motivates us.

New Government

Election is over and now we can almost see the winners. In no time, we’ll have a new president and a new government. I just hope that the new government will be different from the current. And that the new president would live to his promises. I also hope that he will create more programs that will benefit the less fortunate like medical benefits (or even free Mesothelioma treatment), more jobs, high quality education, and programs that will help this country to move forward.

I hope to see our country to be there someday..one of the country in Asia that is respected and stands with dignity.

Done.

I already finished my list for tomorrow. I know I’ve chosen the best candidate for the presidential position so I’m satisfied. I’m only doubtful on my list for the local positions I don’t know most of the candidates that’s why I had a hard time but I’m happy with my list. Now, I’ll just finished reading about thermogenic fat burners (one of the things I did while doing my list) then I’m off to bed. I have to wake up early so I can finish casting my vote early. Let’s all pray for the best people to win the elections. God bless the Philippines.

Proud to be Pinoy

I was glad to know that there are Filipinos who excel in the field of fashion and cosmetics in other countries. Just recently, a Filipino hairdresser was featured in a TV program. He looks really Filipino though he speaks English when he was interviewed. I could have been more proud if he just spoke in the Filipino language. He was a well-known hairdresser in the US and some of the Hollywood artists that he was able to work with are Brad Pitt and Nicole Ricci. I’m not sure if he was able to study in a cosmetology school in Wisconsin when he was young but I know that he is good that even Hollywood artist trust him to allow him to even touch their hair. Well, all I can say is these Pinoys are really good and they should be proud to be Pinoy!

Laptop

I’m so happy that after two months I can already go out. Yes, even the little one is with us when we go out to get some cool air in the mall, lol! And yesterday was one of those days. We went to SM Marikina just to refresh. We just went window shopping though we walk through the cyber zone to check the latest price of my dream laptop… (I’ve been yearning to get a macbook with a great mac memory). As always there were people in the area sitting on the floor and on the benches tinkering on their laptops. I’m not sure if the area is a wi-fi zone but I saw some people surfing the net, maybe it is. My husband said some of them are just “pasikat” (show-off)…well, I don’t know if that’s a bitterish remark or something, lol! But as for me, I really really want a macbook and I hope to get one someday.

"Mane" Problem

Hubby experienced excessive hair fall when he worked in Riyadh. We did everything to stop his hair fall when he went home last year. I’ve read and searched for solutions on how to prevent hair loss and we’re glad that it eventually stopped even without us buying those extra expensive topical remedies. Now that he’s returning to work, I’m afraid he’ll have the same problem since the main cause of it is their water supply in Riyadh. Now I wish, we can buy these products that will prevent his hair from falling off before he leave. And I hope that he won’t lose all of his hair, and return home bald after two years, lol!

A Thousand Miles

My husband’s visa is now ready…we’re just waiting for his passport which will be available on the 15th. Once it’s ready he will be given his flight schedule. Yes, he’ll be working overseas again. We didn’t want to be separated for another two years but then he needs to work. And the work that was given to him is out there…thousands of miles away from us. Don’t get me wrong…I’m thankful that finally he’ll have a job. He’s been jobless for a year and has gone as far as searching the available slots at Houston job search just to look for a job not in the Middle East. But we prayed. And God answered. And this is where He said my husband would go. Return to his previous employer. Now, I’m bracing myself. I’ve experienced being away from my husband for two years. I know we can do this again. But this time, we’ll be wiser with every decisions we’ll make and we’ll pray harder for God’s guidance and direction for our family, that God will see us through.

My Current Thoughts...

I visited my OB-Gyne last Tuesday for my post-pregnancy checkup. I had complains about the pain I’ve been having on my abdomen that is quite unusual. I remember during my first CS operation I recovered fast, had a flatter tummy and was able to move around after three weeks, unlike now. My OB told me that maybe my abdominal muscle is still on its healing process and is taking a little longer to heal because I had adhesion. She asked me to be patient as it heals and take extra precautions specially in lifting my baby. Oh well...

Anyway, I digress. Do you know about quick trim? It’s what celebrities in the US use to lose weight easily. Well, I’m slimmer now (the sleepless nights helps me lose weight) my only problem is my tummy so I still don’t have to use this supplement. But for those of you who’s interested you can click here to know more about it.
