Eternity

All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day are nearly coming. For some, it’s just a long vacation. And for many, it’s the time to visit the people who’ve gone ahead of them. There will be a big turnout of people at the cemetery to visit their dead in the next few days. But for me, these days remind us of eternity.

Some of us get so occupied with worldly things we forget that eternity is waiting. We all will leave this world someday, somehow. We will all go. But, where are we going? Have you asked yourself this question? Or do you doubt about eternity?

Some people think that good deeds can get them to heaven. Some people might even say that as long as they do good deeds; help the poor, give to charities, they can be assured of heaven. The more good deeds they make the easier they can get their passport. I believe that it is wrong to think that going to heaven is a race or a contest. It is doubly wrong for anyone to think that going to heaven is the exclusive right of the righteous. The truth of the matter is that none of us deserves heaven, and that we cannot think heaven as a reward of our good deeds. We cannot buy, claim, or earn heaven with our own worldly effort... What then is the ticket to heaven? It’s Humility. Being humble enough to acknowledge our sins...that we are not perfect.. and give our lives back to God. I don't want to sound religious here. But I believe that a life with God is a meaningful life. Let’s make our lives more meaningful by making him the Director of it. Having a personal relationship with Him.

Let's focus on the thought that our lives here on earth is but temporary. Let us also give more value on what is eternal and not on temporary things. Let's make our lives more meaningful today..living as Christ lived. One day at a time.

New word

Just want to post this real quick at baka makalimutan ko...

Jaden is really getting smarter everyday...san nagmana?? hmmm..

She tells me if what she's picking up or holding is dirty....she'll shout "dity!? dity!?" ...and when asked what's the sound of bird is, she'll reply.. "tit!..tit!" (says in a super matinis voice pa :D)

I just can't wait to hear her utter her first sentence but I guess matatagalan pa yun..for the meantime, I'm so impress with her :D

The long overdue answer to Toni's tag :D Sorry po at natagalan. Ang hirap nga nito but here's my answer:
  • Swiss Boy (Sern Lou) - we joined a dance competion during my 6th grade and this is what we danced...feeling dancer ako nung elementary days e ;)
  • Special Memory (Lea Salonga)- My highschool graduation song...whenever I hear this song, I remember my highschool days specially our graduation day. My highschool days are really unforgettable. :)
  • Smile (Eraserheads) - one of the fave songs of our highschool barkada...I remember them whenever I hear this song.
  • For the First Time (Rod Stewart) - our first dance.
  • Totally Committed to You (unknown) - Our theme song. We also sang it during our wedding.
  • I Will Be Here (Steven Curtis Chapman) - Favorite song ni hubby and the song he sang and recorded on the phone that he sent me. I always listen to it whenever I miss him.

Honestly, I don't know who else to tag so just feel free to snag this if you want :)

Blag!

My daughter fell from our bed last night. It was around 10pm and I was watching TV when I heard a “blag!!". I ran quickly to see what happened and true enough, I saw her on the floor lying face down. I know she was really hurt. I didn’t know exactly how it happened since I securely tucked her to bed…but I think she got hungry and tried to reach her bottle of milk from the side table. Poor girl. I just thank God she didn’t get any bumps or bruises.

Been tagged by Toni, and her question is:

What gift do you want your hubby to give you this Christmas?

Honestly, all I want for Christmas is him :D..I wish that he's with us to celebrate Christmas. But I know that's not possible so maybe jewelry will do. Hehehe!

and for my question: "What are you planning to serve on Christmas eve?" I'd like to know your answers Yette, Mich, Nette and Heidi :)

Jaden Update

My daughter at 16 months?

Haaay….grabe ang kakulitan! She’s sooo active..ang likut-likot! But I love her just like that :D

Everyday when I’m at work, I would talk to her on the phone and she’ll communicate with me..she’s really telling me stories ha.. but of course with her mumbles and babbles. She also kisses me even on the phone. Just hearing her says “mmmmmwaaah!” makes me smile na and that completes my day..hehehe. She loves kissing me even if I do not prompt her to. Nagugulat na lng ako minsan when I come home and she’ll excitedly come to me and kiss me... She also often asks the “what’s that?” question with her version, “tat-tats?” and she has developed a new facial expression, which I didn’t have any idea where and how she got it from. Look...

See the forehead? Yeah, marunong ng magkunot ng noo...She does that when she’s curious or when she’s like asking questions. She also mimics everything I do. Even when I put my hands on my hips to tell her that I’m already angry na… nawawala ang mood ko to scold her because she’ll just do the same...with matching smile and sway ng hips pa. Sino ba naman ang magagalit, di ba?

Jerry’s sooo happy about his daughter's development and he really miss her so much, especially this stage. How I wish that he’s here to witness all of this.

The Egel Nest Award

I'm so thankful that this blog has recevied a lot of awards lately. And yes, here's another one... thanks Toni! :)

Brad Egel originally created this award and started the egg rolling to pass the love around.

And so I would like to pass this to Mommychi, Mich, and Melisse.

We got sick because...

..the weather was really unpredictable.

I was on leave for 2 days because my daughter got pneumonia so I had to rush her to the hospital. I also got colds, cough and fever. Good thing we're both okay now. She's much better.

Thank God..
