The Orchid Test

You Are Balanced and Wise

You are a big fan of all things in moderation. You avoid extremes.

You are a colorful and fun person, but you always make sure not to go too wild.

You are bold and carefree, but you also have a more sensitive side to you.

You are more fragile than you look. You may be outgoing and outrageous, but you're just as breakable as everyone else.

Uncomfortable

When I entered my 3rd trimester, I started feeling so much aches and pains especially on my lower back, thighs and legs. Though the husband gives me massage every night before I go to bed, I don’t feel okay every morning. I feel sore and achy. I know, I know these are all parts of pregnancy and I don’t need any rheumatoid arthritis treatments…I just can’t wait to feel comfortable again. Getting sleep, and moving around. Because now, I feel so vulnerable..:(

Bob and Mickey.

I bought CDs of Mickey Mouse playhouse and Bob The Builder for the little girl and I'm not surprise to see her enjoying both. We haven't applied for a cable TV yet and I saw that the little girl is quite bored with what she usually see in the TV. Both CDs are her favorite now.

On A Rush

I’ll be starting my maternity leave on the 15th of Feb and until now, there’s still no update yet whether my computer memory will be upgraded or not. Every morning, my computer doesn’t start up as fast as it should and it always hangs up when another computer is connecting my pc whether to copy some files or printing documents. I just hope that it will be upgraded before I took my leave. I still a lot of things to finish before and I only have two weeks to do them. Sigh…

Mommy Moments - New Favorite

mommy moments

Mommy Moment's topic for this week is to highlight the changing preference of our children, I mean talking about their new favorites...

Before her favorite toy was her barney stuff toy but when she got this toy keyboard last year, it became her favorite.

With regards to food, pasta is one of her favorite (specially if its "luto ni mommy"). But her most favorite is a vegetable...the sayote. She could eat all the sayote in a "Tinola" in just one eating.

Just a tip.

I was writing some important numbers on my new planner and this came into my mind:

It’s a basic thing to have emergency assistance numbers on hand. This is important especially if we are running the house on our own without a helper or we are working wives of OFW’s who leaves the care of our house and children to nannies and helpers. A lot of serious incidents can happen at home when we are out so it’s important to have these important numbers on hand. And nannies and helpers should also be trained on how to use this during emergencies. Some important numbers to remember are the fire department, hospitals, family doctors, police stations and of course mobile numbers of everyone in the house.

This is really important, so moms put this in mind.

Proud Mommy

See this?

This is my daughter's hand writing. She can now write her full name now. She still has a little problem in writing it on the correct lines but yes, at 3 and !/2, she can now write her name all by her self.

She knows how to count correctly pictures in a set up to 18. The picture shows only up to 11. This was her previous lesson, but now they're on the number 18 already.

Well, I'm just a proud mom of a pre-schooler, :)

No problem.

My office mates is teasing me that I’m eating so much. It just so happened that I have valid reason to eat that way and I don’t have to take fat burner pills to lose weight unlike them who are now refraining from eating rice. During lunch time all my girl office mates are just having viands or fruits. They have to do this because our annual physical exam will be on the 22nd of this month and they need to receive normal or fit to work remarks. Well, as for me I don’t have to undergo the physical exam this year, so I can eat whatever I like, lol!

The world is not bad

Plumper.

I noticed that since Ate Grace came to our house, my little girl gained weight. She’s been recovering from her quick weight loss. Her cheeks are plumper now and she’s eating a lot lately. I don’t know maybe she’s really “hiyang” when there’s a nanny to help mommy take care of her. And that’s what I really hope, that she’ll regain the weight she lose.

Answered Prayer...AGAIN!

My husband has been reviewing for his HAAD (Head Authority Abu Dhabi) exam since November last year. He’s been reviewing until two in the morning almost every day. And he seems to develop dark circles under eye already because of his intensive review. Today was his exam. And I received an SMS from him at 4:30pm today to tell me that he passed! He was soooo happy. The Lord is really good! This is the 2nd prayer that He answered. We’ll continue praying and we are hoping that this will be the start of his new career.

She sings the famous song.

Who wouldn't know the famous Villar jingle? Everyone hums it even little children because of the good melody. My daughter love to sing that song as well. She would immediately stopped whatever she's doing when the ad is being shown in the TV. And here's her version....

Ever After...

When I first saw my husband when he came home last April, I was a bit surprised. Though I was already informed about his hair problem (that is, his continuous hair loss), I didn’t know exactly how he looked. When I saw him, I immediately thought of getting treatment for hair loss for men that was being advertised in a home TV shopping channel. Actually, it’s not that bad…he isn’t bald yet when he came but his hair is not as thick as before he left. Unfortunately, we we’re not able to buy the hair treatment. He said he doesn’t need it. Now, after 8 months, the hair fall stopped and his hair now has grown thicker. But he’s leaving again (maybe next month) so I don’t know if he can still maintain his hair. But of course, with or without his hair, I'll still love him, lol!

My weight-conscious BIL

My sister and I we're chatting last night and she mentioned that she's searching for the safest and the best weight loss supplement for her husband. I asked her why the pill when there are other ways to get fit. She said that her husband is already beginning to feel very conscious about his weight. He keeps on gaining while my sister keeps on losing, lol! He decided to take diets pills because he doesn't have time to visit the gym anymore due to his hectic schedule and he wants to lose the excess weight faster. She joked that she'll give him weight loss supplements for his birthday instead of the watch that he fancies, hehe! Well, that's good for my brother in law. I thought he won't take any actions about his continuous weight gain. Because if not, I'll never stop teasing him, lol!

Find Beauty in Everything!

One month to go!

I'm glad that since the end of December, I haven't experienced leg cramp attacks and I hope I won't have it again until next month. I vowed to religiously drink my milk and prenatal vitamins  everyday and I think that helped. I also noticed that now, my leg veins are not as swollen as before. Maybe the massage every night before going to bed did the trick. The leg pain was lessened although the heaviness increased. I'm now on the stage of waiting…I'm anxious. The only thought that motivates me is the fact that it's only 1 month to go…..

Just my thoughts today...

We went to my OB this afternoon for my monthly check up. I’m supposed to visit her next week but we decided to go today since I’ve been feeling some discomforts lately. When she saw me she was a bit surprised. I got bigger, lol! But she said that my weight as well as the baby’s size is just normal. Honestly, I do feel that I‘m heavier now and the weight of my tummy causes me to sway when I walk now, lol!

Well, my OB already asked me to choose the date so we’re now deciding what date is best. Honetly, I can’t wait to finally give birth. Being pregnant has lots of joyful and exciting moments but along with it comes uneasiness, anxiety and discomforts. But I’m glad that when summer comes the discomforts will be over.

Hmm...speaking of summer, I wish I can visit some beach, unwind and refresh after giving birth. And I wish we can go to some beach that’s good for the whole family and stay in a place like one of those north myrtle beach hotels. I really really want a time to relaxed..

Wish for it, Search for it and Pray... ;-)

After Christmas, what comes next? Of course, Valentine’s Day, a day for all couples, lol! So if you haven’t received any gift from your dear husbands last Christmas (like me, lol!)… Maybe you’ll receive something this time. Girls usually receives roses, chocolates and jewelries during this day so if you want to received something that you really, really like better search for them as early as now and do something so that your husbands will know what to give, but don’t make it so obvious, haha..(what an advise… lol!). Well, kidding aside, if you want to receive jewelries on Valentines, there are great finds at hostedjewelers.com. These are not genuine diamonds but they look like real ones. If you’re not that particular with jewelries like me, this is already a great gift. Se go on and pick the best costume jewelry earrings or necklace that you want, I just did. And hopefully on Valentine’s Day, I’ll received this one, haha!.

Answered Prayer.

I know we started the year right. Last January 2, instead of going somewhere to have fun we opted to go up to the prayer mountain. We spent half of the day there, laid down everything to God. We prayed for God's guidance and direction for us this year. We also prayed for our helper. And guess what? It was our first answered prayer because the next day, a good friend of us suddenly told us that she will recommend someone to be our helper. Originally, the person who's supposed to be the helper is her best friend's cousin but we ended hiring her best friend instead. It's really a long story but everything went well. So now we have Ate Grace.

She's 43 years old already and well-experienced. She's been to Singapore and Hong Kong already but came back. We could sense that she's going to be a great help to us. Plus she's also a Christian so it's a plus point. We're just hoping that she will last long and will be as what we expect her to be. Well, we're continuously praying for that and we believe that God hears us.

Rushing to get FIT.

Have you gained weight during the holidays? A lot of my officemates are now on fruit diet, haha! That's to detoxify. They pigged-out during the holidays and the words DIET and FITNESS was neglected. So now they are on a rush to lose weight since our annual physical examination is just weeks away, hehehe. One of my officemate even purchased a fitness equipment to help him lose the fats faster.

Well, I'm blessed, I don't have to do that for now…lol!
