Teenage Woes: Back-ne

Teenagers are prone to acne and pimples so I am not surprise to see my brother whenever I visited them. He’s got plenty of back-ne (short for back acne, lol!) and facial zits. We’re worried though so my brother in law who works in the city health office, ask for a prescription acne medication from their resident dermatologist to help my brother get rid or at least lessen his pimple problems. I know that he’s beginning to get conscious about it. I saw his girl-friends’ comments on his face book photo once so I know how he feels.

At The Cross

I was about to email my friend to send me a copy of the song we sang last night but when I opened my email, I saw her email containing the attachment. It’s like she has a radar detector sensing what I’m about to ask her, hehe. Anyway, the song was “At The Cross” by Hillsong music. It was a very touching song that talks about God’s sacrifice and how much He loves us even though we fall short and fail big time.

- Finally got my new student permit (again, hehe) and had a carpenter installed our window screens.

Window Shopping

Whenever I go to the department store, I always go to the furniture section and check out the latest furniture styles. Not because I will buy but being a homemaker, I had my wishes and wants for our home. I want to replace our dining table among those modern dining tables, I want new a new mattress and bedding, and a much comfortable couch. But because I can’t buy these all at once, I get the prices and put them on my wish list. Hopefully, I’ll be able to buy them within the year.

Less of Me, More of Them

Before, (that’s when the kids are still inside the gift boxes of God, hehe) whenever I’m at home and during lazy weekends, I grab a book and sit on our bean bag couch and outdoor pillows until I doze off. Now, I can’t do that anymore. There’s the talkative young lady who wants to grab my attention every now and then, and the cute little boy whom I can’t resist whenever I hear him squeals and babbles. I can only have a time for myself when they are both asleep, but not to read a book but to go online and work while listening to my favorite play list. That’s how my life has changed when I got married and had two kids. But I had no regrets at all. I’m so blessed to have them even though having them means less time for myself. My family is my life and my kids are my treasures.
