Former President Corazon Aquino died last Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009 at 3:18 am. She died fighting colon cancer.I was able to watched Kris Aquino's (her youngest daughter) detailed narration of her mom's last days on The Buzz last Sunday and my mom and I went teary eyed.
Her convoy yesterday was joined by thousands of people. Prominent people like president and COO, Fernando Zobel de Ayala was also seen among the crowd. I was able to watched the live streaming of the procession through her website coryaquino.ph.
Cory has been tagged as the Philippine's Mother of Democracy. As the 11th president of the Philippines, she touched every Filipino's hearts in such a remarkable way. She now bade farewell to us but her memory will live on.
